global auto trends

so over the years I've been picked on and laughed at by a lot of cobalt owners, as much as I've been praised for it. I'm all about style innovations with cars. I figured I'd share some car trends around the world that when combined can be very tasteful. I want to see ideas flowing and light bulbs over heads! don't worry about who calls you a ricer just do you!

USA:

ah yes so this would be the super stock look. I know you all love this. you have a slammed front end and a tubbed rear to give an aggressive muscle car look. That thing looks like it eats quarter mile times for breakfast.

Besides nascar that's about it for america. Yep...that's all we want is cowl hoods, 15 inch wide slicks and deafening v8's. But there is NOTHING sexier.

Europe:

now that is pretty. and...that's about it. Euro cars are impressive in the sense that they just look track ready. With the exception of some stupid fast volvo's, Sorry europe we love your style but this is dumb america speaking waste some gas plz!

and that is beauty my friends.

stretchin'
hate it or love it, it's out there and IT IS SAFE TO DO. euro guys used to do it so the tire would fit under the fender while using a fatter offset.

Japan:

WTF HOW'D HE GET IN A MAG WITH PAINT LIKE THAT?
I love japanese style personally, they can get away with just about anything. If you've watched D1 you've seen most of it. It all comes down to the fact that japanese people are crazy I can name a million trends on this 240sx. Can you point some out?

Straight Bososoku. This is a style picked up from japanese bike gangs that would ride around the streets of tokyo on flashy bikes with unbaffled exhaust and try to cause accidents. friggin crazy japs. as you can see, they picked up the tire stretching thing as well. Most "boso" cars also have an oil cooler hanging out the front bumper like this:

and I bet you 100 bucks that thing's not connected to ANYTHING! It's all about style.
And speaking of style, how about VIP style?

It's got a fridge in the grill and in the back seat! You gotta love that camber.

Sexy as a chinese school girl.

So it seems we rolled out of the dealership one day in our brand new cobalts to find one thing. We are rice, we are corn, we are american, we are european(check out your nice new saab cylinder head), we are japanese (check your power steering motor). it all went hand in hand to build our cars. I am just trying to promote creativity. I am tired of seeing the same old mods. (ie halo projectors and ebay wheels ) Get some swagger on that balt! be creative

When I think American style i dont think of cute turbos but rather a big ass blower sticking out of the hood.

a lot of people that say stuff like that don't get how stylish american cars used to be. we just gave up on advancing design.

shame, now that it's coming back... all 3 car makers are on the ropes

really, znew? maybe it's because a lot of the people like how the SS looks. GM did it just right.

if I had an LS / LT / LTZ , I'd go for the SS kit myself.

Just like the way I am looking at getting an Impala SS S/C Spoiler and front lip.

Say something to me please

I was thinking the same thing but was just gonna leave that one alone..

The SS kit looks perfect IMO and really there arent any aftermarket kits out there worth buying.. They are all gaudy minus a couple.

I guess all the LS/LT guys should just live with thier shitty bumpers cause this guy thinks they are "posing" for putting SS kits on thier cars

mine's unique, and it's stock except the muffler delete, you ask how can that be, well it's the only one I own, if I had another then it wouldn't be, lol, i personally like the sleeper look, the cleaner the better, the only thing I might do to mine when it comes to appearance will be rims, some lighter one's hopefully
