Lowered Car Clunk,Steering Rack Spacer Question

I recently lowered my 2008 Base model G5 on sportlines, but now when i turn it makes a clunk. It only happens when i am stopped or moving very slowly, my question is would steering rack spacers take this clunk away?

likely not, id bet the clunk is comming from the struts because the springs arent seated correctly.

theres only one way really to seat the springs so i wouldnt think it would be that, im interested to see if the steering rack spacer helps any. im about to buy one in a few weeks.

yea im thinking i mite order one in the next couple days, i have a SS/tc sway bar and an eibach rear sway bar that i need to put in so i think i will do it all together. I will keep everyone updated on if this work or not because it seems alot of people have this exact problem but nobody really knows how to fix it.

100% correct. rack spacers and no help for the clunk the top hat bearing or the spring plates are out of alignment, position or damaged...unless the drop links for the arb are done

I was told this clunk is from the intermediate steering shaft. I've been lowered on Sportlines, as well as many other members on here who have this problem, and we have took out springs off, inspected everything, and installed them again only to have the same problem.

I know 100% for a fact, my springs are installed correctly, and nothing is broken.

it could be the end links because mine is lowered on coilovers and i got the same problem. I ordered some adjustable end links the other day so when i put those on i will know if it worked or not

I doubt it would be a endlink only for the fact that i had one go bad and replaced it yesterday. It never made any noise but i was getting a horrible wobble on the side that it went bad on.

Did you get an alignment after it was lowered? That might be the problem
