how hard would it be to cut carbon fiber

Anybody know how hard it would be to cut carbon fiber? I have a oem style carbon fiber hood and I was just tossing the idea of cutting holes in it to make it a heat extractor hood. The holes would be similar to this

I know I could just go out and buy a new one but I don't have the money to do that right now lol... so came my crazy idea lol

ooo thats risky, i personallly wouldnt do it

once you cut it you wont have smooth edges and they be sharp and probably not even straight

if you did this i would sugest finding someone that has a water blade to keep the edges smooth. if you use a dry blade it will most likely chip up the edges and what not.

i know of another way you could do it but its just as risky... use a hobby knife, but flip it over and use the flat back side of the blade oposite of the sharp edge. Drag it over and over repeatedly until it eventually cuts through. It will take a long time to do it but at least the edges wont be rough.

If you have a steady hand to keep the lines straight that is

It'll break over time, if it's not molded for it.
