OTTP With no heat exchanger

Would it be dangerous to run the OTTP stage 1 kit without an aftermarket heat exchanger?

bump

Will it hurt anything? No, as long as you dont do back to back to back runs and then drive around like a maniac.

I would put the H/E and dual pass right up next to that mod, like next in line.

Me personally, cooling will probably be the next thing for me and I am only gmstg2, going tvs hopefully within a year

The street wont be that noticable, unless you drive very hard, all the time... for a long period of time.

I wouldn't put nothing on my car until I have all the parts I need. Such as coo0ling or water meth

like i said... once it hits 160, back off. Don't keep going or you could hurt the motor and such... I've been running it for about 2 months now without it... I beat it... it does heatsoak, so that is why I am getting the h/e, and possibly a tvs later

Nick your ready to go on the heat exchanger

Everyone is on the ball with what they said about letting the car cool down oin between runs and not beating on it back to back to back.

Helped me when i ran my 2.5" with no cooling for 6 months ( not recomeended)

If your going to do MULTIPLE back to back to back to back pulls then I would be worried, otherwise you will be fine. The only thing else that concerns me is your staging lane iat2's will be high also.

Just save up for some cooling mods and don't beat the **** outta the car until there on there haha.

edit: sean gets the post in just SECONDS before me lol.

Will it hurt it not per say if you watch it and don't go at it too much...but it's summer...it will take but 1 run to heatsoak the hell out of it more than likely...I think you'll be happier with the end result if you take care of the cooling first THEN the power..

Have you scanned the car yet? If not check that and see about nrrowing it down to a cylinder, could be sand by the rail or the oring might not be properly seated.

everything is fine, it just i was crusing the highway, and then down shifted down to 3 and nailed it, blah, the engine shut down... P0300. I have a Areoforce. Other than that the kit is great, I am still debating about that killer chiller... PM me some info on a decent clutch that can handle a tvs.

alright cool. Thanks for all the input everyone. I have all the parts for a stage 2 with a 2.9 pulley but than i saw that the ottp stage 1 kit is now only 340 so i needed to investigate a little more. How much hp and psi gain is there with 60's and a 2.8 compared to 42.5's and a 2.9" pulley????
