Question Do these cars have a hidden build sheet ?

I searched, but did not find anything (readily, anyway ! ) that answered my question.

I asked my sales **** for all the paperwork when the car came in from the other dealer.

I think she did all she could, but I did not see a build sheet.

On some of the newer cars they put them loose in the glove box, and they tend to get pitched.

In the old days, they were hidden in sail panels (4th gen F's ) or under the rear seats ( 2nd gen F's ) and I would really like to have the one for this car - if it is still there to be found.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks !

The closet thing would be the option sticker that if memory serves is located under the carpet in the trunk on the spare tire cover.

Where exactly? Don't think I've had my interior trim totally pulled out yet.

It's under the trunk mat, on the driver's side. You will find a sticker (sort of across from the battery).
It's also on your driver's door. Open the driver's door and look at the door itself near where it meets the B-pillar of the car. There's a bunch of codes that correspond to the options.

I have heard that it is behind the driver's side sail panel . But, it also sounds like there is no definitive answer as some of them wind up in the glove box.

On the second gens it was stuffed under the frame "wires" of the rear seat.

Most of them survived intatc 'cuz people did not know they were there.

I, on the other hand, ...

Well, we wll have to let our cars sniff each other tailpipes and get reaquainted with one another !

Maybe Chevy can do a Cobalt SS plant meet like Saturn used to. Although I was actually at the Lordstown plant years ago - 1st time I had ever seen the inside of a assembly plant.

Pretty cool watching the bodies come down from upstairs, and the powertrains go up.

And, watching the mad mob of wires behind the dash getting hooked up after watching the dash get slid in.

If only it was that easy to get into it after it's installed ...

mine was loose, on the pass rear floor

I snagged it when it first came in, before they cleaned it.
