My brother owns a shop in mooresville called Gibbs race cars and goes to that track pretty much every weekend. I think I spotted you last week when I was in town. Here is the spotted thread that I started when I was in town.

My best stock time was 8.8 before the tune. Times haven't improved much since I got the tune but we have just recently(I think/HOPE) dialed in 1st and 2nd gear boost for better traction.

Well I launched at 2k-2500 rpm and eased into it past the 60'. For me the biggest part of it lies in how well the tards at the local track prep things and keep the water from the water box IN THE WATER BOX. With street tires I ALWAYS stay out of the water and go in between the boxes to keep the tires as dry as possible. Once I get in my lane I half ass dump the clutch to get a full rotation or two of spin to throw off any water that may have found its way on to the tires on my way to stage. The way GM has the "no lift shift" set up, after the launch its automatic. For manual trans beginner your times are pretty damn good IMO! I hope some of what I posted helps you out.

yea i did the same thing, going around the water box and do a little clutch dump to turn the tires over a little. i guess the track prep could be better. id like to see what i can run with some good track prep.

and with the no lift shift, are you saying its like the car is automatic, sense your shifting so fast. i get what your saying.

and thanks!!!

It just helps you to be more consistent. I have gotten so use to power shifting in my old SS/SC that I don't even get a pop out of the exhaust in the SS/TC.

My best time in my stg2 ss/sc was a 8.7 but that was with full mounts and a well prepped track.

I did not launch control on my passes. I would rev the car to about 2000-2500rpm and slip the clutch...leave like you are pulling away from a red light but quick. If the track prep is good you shouldn't spin much at all. I think my 60ft was a 2.07 but the track prep played a major roll in that.

I shift out of first at 5800rpm and second and third get 6000rpm. If the pass is decent you will want to shift into 4th at the end.

launched at 23-2400 RPMS, feathered the clutch lightly out instead of dumping it

You cant be really that upset with a 9.3 stock, especially if it's your first time out. My best time with intake and tune is only 9.1, but I trapped 84.5mph. The track is never prepped and I've only made a few passes with the tune.
