Anyone here have a Blow off valve installed on their SS/SC just wondering ?

Yeah I have one, I also just installed an external wastegate for my supercharger too...

 

how does the BOV sound on your car ? i thought about getting one

i know it already has a bypass valve and all that other shyt i was just wonderin if anyone has one

 

anyone ever heard the bypass valve sort of flutter? sort of ease it up to like 4k rpm in 1st and then off the throttle you can sort of hear like a flutter.. i think

 

Eeek, I didn't mean to mislead you, I was being sarcastic. The only type of superchargers that have blow off vavles are centrifugal blowers. Ours are roots style.

you could have a bov on your car but it would be nothing but rice.

Since i put my intake on, when i am close to something like a wall or another car, it almost sounds like you could hear it, but i wasn't sure if it was my imagination.

 

same here since i installed my injen it sounds a little differnt to me, not just the air sucking in but almost a "flutter" sound right when you give it gas in the 2-3k rpm range

 

people are complete idiots, reading posts like this makes me wish all "sport" style cars should be made NA so the masses of ignorance like the following can be weeded out

lol, i actually met a kid while i was cruising around once with a black ss/sc. i asked him if he had anything done to it yet and he told me that he just ordered a GReddy bov and a new muffler for his exhaust. i asked him if he was serious and he was. it was at this moment that i left.

lol, worry DC i had to tell everyone about your secret. because we all know that you don't really have an rsx and that you think bov's on supercharged cars is teh ****! lol.

 

what about putting a bov on the bypass? I'm not exactly sure how bov's work jus twondered. I'm also not looking to do it as bov's seem a little ricey to me.
