Classic Coupe model?
Classic Coupe model?
I was at a dealership tonight and saw three coupes, they looked base, that had something called a Classic Coupe package. It had a strip almost akin to 50's model Chevy and had a little Classic badge near the GM badge. It also had an ss/sc wing and wheels that didn't look like GM Accessories, more like aftermarket wheels. Has snybody else seen these? Maybe it's an area thing, I'm in southwest Virgina, near Bristol. No pics though sorry. Just needed some input.
get some pics. the dealer buy me has a "gtx" or something along those lines, package on a base cobalt. it's ugly as hell. ricey decals, ugly ass rims, and some faux leather seats with gtx stitched in the backrest. and a giant cobalt gtx windshield banner. it's just... ugh
i saw one a month ago at a chev dealership. it was a white 2.2l coupe with blue stripes and different rims, lowered very far to the ground and had a ss/sc wing, actually didnt look too bad but certainly not as fast as the ss/sc ;p
the dealer is Ticonderoga [Christopher Chevrolet] has a 'Cobalt X-Ray'... whatever that is.
Bill McBride Chevrolet in Plattsburgh NY has a Cobalt LS done up as a rally sport with this really bad stripe kit... So it's a Cobalt LS/RS. Pick the letters you really want, guys.

After a while though I decided I didn't like the decals and removed them (with help from this very forum members in fact
)
GTX is nothing but a crappy visual package someone thought up for some odd reason. I actually saw it on gmpartsdirect.com about 3 months ago. Here's the link:

that's the one the dealer by me has. except it's yellow and doesn't have the ss/sc wing. and it's a 2.2... the only saving grace is that it's a manual.
LOL... "Classic" edition... I'm suprised it isn't riding on 22's with a horrible lift kit... like half of the cars with "classic" badges tacked on them here in Charlotte... and y'all know what I'm talking about.
