I'm about to do the 2.4 manifold swap when the parts get here. My question is, Will the 2.2 TB work just fine or will I get better flow from another TB? I've heard of guys on here putting on an LSJ or either a 2.4 TB. Which one would flow better? Which one goes on easier to the 2.4 manifold? Do both of these TBs require a tune? Any other TB options and how hard those would be?

I have an 07 2.2 G5

 

I put my 2.2L TB on the 2.4IM, and it fits perfectly, just move one bolt, you can't miss it.

As for using the others, I've got no experience with em so can't say anything about it, but I'd say that the 2.2 is just fine, it's a great mod btw.

 

The 2.4TB mocks right up with the manifold (of course) but it requires tuning. The 2.0 will not mount to the 2.4 Manifold unless you buy ZZP's adapter plate and I do not believe anybody with a 2.2 has tried this quite yet. As far as better flow the 2.0 would give you the best becuase it is the biggest in diameter however I m not sure how you could get it to work without rewiring tuning and dropping a decent amount of money to buy the parts. Best solution would be to purchase a 2.4TB and port it and then have it tuned and that should satisfy your needs. Hope that helps if you have anymore questions just ask.
