2'' to 3'' Exhuast Piping

K so I believe the stock exhaust is 2'' piping.

My problem is I need to expand it to 3'' for the exhaust tip to be welded on. Just wondering if it is possible to expand the pipe a whole inch without it cracking? And if so would just about any muffler shop be able to do it for me?

what king of vehicle do you have. and I believe that the stoick is 1.75'' piping. If yours is not a turbo, i wouldnt go to 3''. I would stick with 2.25'' or 2.5''. ( i prefer 2.5'')

Stock for a 2.2 is around 1.75. Unless you're going F/I, then the highest I would go would be 2.5".

lol i think you guys misunderstood the question...

I'm not talking about turning my whole exhaust into 3'' piping, I'm just putting a 3'' tip right on the end of the exhaust (I just want to expand it to 3'' at the last like 4 inches of my exhaust so i can weld the tip up which has a 3'' whole on it).

I was wondering if expanding the current piping which is 2'' to 3'' would crack it or is it fine?

There is no SC specific GMPP exhaust...it is all just Cobalt exhaust.

x356 !!!!!!!! you would think after all these years, and all of the exhaust threads, everyone would know the correct size of the GMPP exhaust.
