Comp stage 1 or stage 2 cams. Check out turbo tech racing for those.

MRZ makes lightweight pulleys for our cars, I recommend going to their site.

BTW, what do you mean by "2.2L soon to be 2.4"?

good Q lol

and stg1 cam if you want good performance and decent comfort

go stg2 if you want more performance, less comfort and dont mind having to change your everyday driving style due to diff powerband lol

pullies, go with lightweight crank and alternator pullies from MRZ

stroking the L61 to 98mm with a LE5 crank wont make 2.4 liters.
the LE5 is also bored out larger than the L61

Not worth it for the cost. Have fun spending a couple grand for a few extra ft/lb's. The L61 already makes decent torque for its size. Go with Stage 1/2 comp. cams, and a tune and you should be pretty happy. They aren't that expensive and if you have experience with wrenching, you could install them in a day with some friends.

Get stage 1 cams, or 2. I think you may need to upgrade springs if you go 2 though? not sure....
Anyway, if you get cams, you will need a tune immediately because the comp cams dont have a cam positioning sensor on them, so you need that function tuned out.

Thats my understanding, I'm not sure if I'm right lol....

What will the pullies net for horsepower? and what about cams? has anyone dynod a 2.2 liter car with cams, (stage 1 or 2) intake, exhaust, header, downpiper, and 2.4 liter intake mani. I'm wondering how fast do they cars get fully bolt on N/A. Cause for the price turbo sounds the best bet

Pullies will not give you any horsepower. Not even 0.0000000000000000000001HP. They free up RPMS so you can get into your higher power bands quicker.

Fully bolted with cams, your looking at about 170-180whp.

it will not gain you any hp, but it will make you see your peak sooner and longer making for higher hp in some areas...yes and is the answer

also, fully bolted and stg 2 cams, should put you 190+

you gain power at the wheels...

if you're trying to be super knit-picky, then fine:
using lighter weight pulleys will lighten the rotating mass of the engine. A lighter rotating mass means less power will be used to turn those pulleys and the power that would have been used to turn pulleys can now be used to turn the wheels. Will the engine's internal combustion experience higher combustion pressures to increase engine torque? no, but there will still be a gain in HP at the wheels, which is all that ever matters.

well, since the engines belt drive system (IE its pulleys) are installed when on an engine dyno, the crank hp will also see an increase, but no, there wont be an increase of torque on the crankshaft by the pistons
