The other weekend i was changing my oil and i noticed some oil near the back of the oil filter. Where the oil filter sits in the little housing right behind it is where i noticed the oil. i am not sure if it is from spilt oil that ran down. I have only changed the oil once myself it was always going to the dealer to get changed. I am jusdt wondering if anyone else is noticeing this on there cars. The car is not losing oil because it is checked every morning before i go to work.

 

Prob just leftover from a filter change. It's hard to get out without spilling some.

Check the camshaft position sensor under the high pressure fuel pump and the camshaft cover on the side of the engine above it. Those are the two most likely places that will leak.
