2.0 driving thru rain studders?

All i've got installed is the injen CAI.
I didn't drive thru any puddles but it was drizzling and the roads were wet, on my way to work, i noticed when my foot is on the pedal, the car would like skip or almost like losing traction then gaining it again real quick, I can't figure out what was doing it. It was only doing it when my foot was on the pedal just enough to slowly increase in speed.

This is the first time i've driven the car while its wet out and injen installed.

Not sure if this has been covered, if so plase give me the link.

my 2.0 used to do that even when it wasn't raining somethimes. I figured it was the belt slipping.

I didn't even think of that. Will have to keep that in mind.

It's a long shot, but I noticed you have the underbody LEDs in your sig. Could your tires have been kicking water up onto an exposed wire and possibly shorting something?

That's also very possible. I noticed one of the wires I guess rubbed a tire, or something hot, and the rubber is nearly gone in one spot, If water did hit it, would that cause the car to react that way?

I wouldn't think the LED wires getting wet would affect the car.

Probably in my best interest to fix it anyways. I suppose hot glue over it would stay on a while.

If it's somewhere fairly hidden, I would wrap it a few times in electrical tape.

Light rain early on tends to bring oils on the road to the surface. How many miles on your tires? Maybe you just felt loss of traction? Does it feel like it skitters forward almost like wheel hop? I'd check the tread wear on your tires, maybe time to get some new rubber. Oh and good luck, from what I understand the Cobalt SS/SC's tires are the exact same ones they put on the front wheels of the Ferrari 360 Modena, should cost you a pretty penny...........

Lol Great!
Yeah it kind of feels like when you're in mid-high range RPMs and you let off the gas, how it kicks forward, well it was doing that but i wasn't letting off the gas. I think 8,000 miles.
