Think i got a lemon
bought a brand new 2007 chevy cobalt SS. So far i have had to replace my sun roof twice, replace my steering wheel, stero face plate , Super charger it self, the guage for the supercharger,Fuel pump, something with my brake assembly was all rusted out and i bought it in az should of had zero rust, i have 27,000 miles on it and everything is breaking and now the right rear turn signal is broke so i gotta take it back in. its becoming quite a pain now its in the shop cause i am having rear suspension problems the back is squating more and more looks like i lowered it and wondering if there is anything i should get checked out so i make sure everything is fixed

2007 Chevy Cobalt SS, yes, you got a lemon.
Seriously, if you are having this many problems, then you should look into local lemon laws. You are seeing WAY too many problems with this car.
Most likely the previous owner was a crazy, mad, modder who abused the heck out of it before selling it off.

oh sorry, reading > me, got it in my head somehow you were the second
theres also a requirement for the car to have been in the shop a certain number of days, and I also believe it has to be a reoccurring problem but good luck

What is a Lemon?
A vehicle that continues to have a defect that substantially impairs its use, value, or safety. Generally, if the car has been repaired 4 or more times for the same Defect within the Warranty Period and the Defect has not been fixed, the car qualifies as a Lemon. All States differ so you should consult the Lemon Law Summary and the State Statutes for your particular State. Note that the warranty period may or may not coincide with the Manufacturer's Warranty.

The last I checked most cars have 5 year warranties that cover well over 27K miles. The number of owners have little to do with the lemon laws. Please do a little research before mocking and posting as fact bogus information. The op is looking for help, not misinformation.
OP, lemon laws are different in different states. You really do need to speak to a good lawyer. Car lemon is a good site for finding honest, factual, information. Just click on the link I posted under the quote.

the original poster is wasting his money and trying to screw a buisness out of money by forcing them to take a fine car back.
no one was mocking, and Im sorry I dont feel like researching lemon laws for an hour, which are the dumbest **** ive ever heard of before. I posted what seemed to be common sense, but of course there is always some bull **** liberal law out there to try to screw a honest company out of their money.
excuse me for not being a lawyer. And I can post as I see fit, so thank you very much

Also, I think it's reasonable to expect a 20K+ car to last more than 2 years before:
Replacing the sun roof TWICE
Replacing the Supercharger
Replacing the Supercharger gauge
Replacing the steering wheel and stereo face plate
Replacing the fuel pump
Replacing a rusty brake assembly
Yeah, sure he's trying to screw the dealer. I'm the one being condescending? I didn't accuse some poor guy with multiple major repairs on a relatively new car of trying to screw the dealership for selling a car that keeps breaking. Chevy produces thousands of cars, some of them are bound to have issues, it's the law of averages. Unless all of these repairs are part of standard maintenance for a new Chevy.
Major repairs? I see alot of small repairs with the exception of the sunroof. This is the reason for warranties, to take care of problems. be glad you don't own a Chrysler my friend. this is what it means to buy
. didn't you know?
. didn't you know?
Other than basic maintenance, I've never had anywhere near that many problems, even under warranty.
I did own a Plymouth Voyager for a couple of years, PITA, had to get the fuel gauge replaced (gas tank sensor), replaced the water pump, fuel pump, timing chain (before it's time)....etc.
I am also OCD when it comes to routine maintenance, so that is probably a factor.
BTW, I apologize if it seemed like I was busting your *****, it just seems like a lot of repairs for a 2 year old car....a new supercharger?!?!
I've never owned a supercharged car, turbo's only, are there reliability issues with them?
