couple quick questions
ok so I have the ottperformance satge 1 kit and it seems to run rich, I do not have a gauge to confirm this but the plugs are always black after a few minutes of driving, anyway I was wondering I'm running the 2.8 inch pulley could I size down to a 2.7 inch pulley or would that be stupid or unsafe? and and what size pulley do you have to turn down the snoot of the m62?
stupid and unsafe. You can't tell what the plugs look like unless you install brand new plugs, do a pull and shut the car off immediately after said pull.
Most people get away with running a 2.7 without grinding the snout. *Some people get away on a 2.6, but most of them have to be grinded down

yea I have a h/e and I'm going to do a fan mod this weekend and yes I did put new plugs in and did a run and they were black as **** did it twice.....I'm not stupid I know my engines I just noticed it to be running rich on the ott stage 1 tune with the 60#ers and 2.8 so I was wondering if stepping down to a 2.7 would help that out??? I figured I would ask around and see if any others have done the same....
to know for sure you will need a wideband gauge. the best way to read the plugs is to install new plugs, let the car idle till its warm, take it for a pass down the track, when slowing down leave the clutch out and dont let it idle, dont step on the gas, and as you roll off the track shut it off. you then let it cool and pull the plugs out, its the only true reading of how its running.

your gonna need meth for a 2.7 and smaller, its not worth the small gains your gonna get to push your motor into dangerous territory, the heat is the big issue when you start pulleying down past a 2.8 esp if you rev it past 6500 rpms
