check out canadian tire or www.1010tires.com (they are in surrey or burnaby, something like that). you can always check out the junkyards and search on www.car-part.com.

when i bought my car 2 years ago 16" 5x110 steelies were non existant. i ended up having to buy a set of hhr aluminum 16s off e-bay. $120us for a set of 300km take offs and $300 to ship

I've jumped into group buys for cia boost tubing, downpipe & sri(still waiting for this). and right now the canuck buck is about .93us, so its actually a pretty good time if you're looking for parts!

You seriously went all winter on the stock Summers? You're pretty lucky to not have rolled the car man. When I was looking for steelies a few years ago they didn't have any so I went with alloys (I actually have my winter wheels and tires for sale in the classifieds). They looked a lot better than plain steelies and since I had them on for almost half of the year, I wanted the car to at least look good.

Canadian Tire still doesn't list any as of yet for 16" 5-bolts. I ordered mine from Abbsry Tire last year but they did cost $80 a piece

Once you do go with winters you'll never want anything else. It's amazing how well my SS/SC handled in the snow, slush and ice. And anyone who knows Edmonton winters can attest to some of the crap we get. It was a blast driving in the winter, simply because I felt safe. Mind you I didn't drive the car hard or do anything crazy but it was great getting going easily on frozen roads while other vehicles were having a hard time.

I actually hated driving our AWD Vue this past winter because it only has all seasons. Even though it had the AWD, it just couldn't compare to the traction my car got. The ground clearance is a bit better with the Vue though...

in general, our winters here is the lower mainland arent that bad. honestly snowies arent needed here, a good set of all seasons do just fine. snowies are good to have though, i have a set and my car does go almost anywere.

and compared to most of the country it is still pretty tame. we had a lot of snowfalls but it only hung around for a few days at a time. this year we are supposed to have a huge case of el nino, very mild winters, for most of it i doubt ill have to swap the winter tires on.

There's tons of wrecked cobalt LT's with 16" factory alloys (5 Bolt) at Ralph's on Scott Rd. (Surrey)
They must have a set of 4 wheels they can sell you as a package. I once bought a set of stock alloys for my 89 nissan 240sx at Ralph's

tpyically most junkyards want $200+ per wheel for alloys no matter what they are. when i was looking foe winters all i could find was 16" hhr alloys and the cheapest i could find was $300/wheel.
