You aren't going to get V8 sound out of a 4 banger. I'm interested as well, I'll be doing exhaust in a few months and want low tone.

I don't think there's any "great" sounding exhausts for the cobalt. Some sound better than others, but compared to many other cars they all sound like ****. That being said, I think the magnaflow sounds the best on the lsj.

^^^That's the best sounding exhaust for a Cobalt! I have a Hahn 3" catback and it sounds amazing! Even with the stock header and DP.

I scored mine used for $600 Canadian WITH the Hahn shorty header. I then sold the Hahn header for $300US. I want a mid-length header/DP eventually.

your gonna get all kinds of answers here everyone saying theres is the best. i have a custom exhst so my opinion is not swayed by what i bought. the best ive heard on cars are gmpp, magnaflow, and borla. gmpp sounds good but its a 2 1/4 if your not modified id say that or if you are id say magnaflow or borla.

I had the GMPP for a while until I got the Hahn 3" used. The GMPP fails in 3 ways.
1)It felt very restrictive up top.
2)The huge resonator scrapes on speed bumps and is an eyesore.
3)It has an annoying drone between 2000-2500rpms, which is where it will be 90% of the time.

The Hahn 3" flows far better, has a slim resonator, and no drone at cruising speeds. It gets nice and loud up top though!

im running all Vibrant
the vibrant header/downpipe combo and the 3in exhaust
its very sexy at low rpms its a nice rumble with some beef, and at WOT it is super beast with a side of raspy-ness haha i think its crafted the same way as the Hahn exhaust similar design
i love the pops when i shift from gears and when i let off pop POP pop pure joy
