stagezero 10-09-2009, 09:57 PM went to the tuner today lookin forward to makin 400 on race fuel but then shit happens like always.........at 25psi my wastegate starts to open and my bov does also.......so needless to say the shop was closing didnt have time to let the car cool down to tighten up the wastegate and didnt have a new spring for the bov so now im sittin at 370whp/350trq. ill be goin back once i get my new stuff for 400
i dont get peak power till like 5k but my new shift point is 7.5k and my boost protection id now deleted also. i also got my new EBoost2 boost controler put in and my NT-01 dragradials put on also today
the results will be up as soon as i get the dyno file from them in my email.

Tennpenn83 10-10-2009, 12:10 AM nice numbers. i don't like the usable powerband though....
EDIT :
no torque lines?

no torque lines?
that was during my runs those ones only showed power and air/fuel
i wish i could get better power earlier.....it sucks

What kind of turbo are you on?
This graph looks the same as if you were to put a really big cam into an LS1/LS2. No power no power no power then WHAM tons of power.
Its not bad for roll racing, But I wouldn't expect to run any 11's with that powerband.

If hes taking the motor up to 7500 like he said he was , hell be right in his powerband .

its perfect for where i shift at (7500) cause after shift im right back into boost. and im running a 2871R, dont know why its not spooling sooner but thats something to work on. after i get my electric cutout put on ill have a lil more spool time......
and yes torque is an issue im still tryin to work out if any one has any suggestions on that and spool time let me know.
NT-01 are a dragradial im just lookin for something to get me a lil traction in second gear.....

Something might be funky with the timing table or possibly the wastegate is leaking?

x2...
drag tire
2K5SS/SC? 10-10-2009, 11:35 AM Are you running the .63 housing or the bigger one? Nice numbers though so far.

i would but havin all that shit done yesterday drained my account lol. i also have a carbonfiber hood on the way and new guage mounts. next payday ill come up though

the wastegate is a possibility my goal was 400whp but something was limiting me by opening up early. so im goin to buy a new spring for the bov and tighten my wastegate then go back there.

.63 housing
heres a pic of my new setup inside with my guages

stagezero 10-10-2009, 12:55 PM yikes another gauge fest.
yeah i hate to say it too but its what i need. at least i dont have the huge tac like most ricers lol.
thedubsack85 10-10-2009, 12:57 PM that gauge placement is VERY BAD.. here in cali you would get pulled over/ticketed for crap like that.. it obstruct's your view of the road.. i got pulled over for my a pillar gauges in the RL.. mostly cause the cop had never seem them in a saturn or a saturn like that.. LOL anywhoo do what you want but damn is that ALL really NEEDED in the place it is? the boost gauge off the side of the RPD just does not look good.. and dont the RPD tell you boost and AFR's and a whole bunch of other shit?
1badBlueberrySC 10-10-2009, 12:58 PM LOLz.... Synapse needs to work on the tuning!

its does tell me boost but why use up the only slot i have for boost when i can still have he stock boost guage there and monitor my KR and A/F?.....u have to think smart bro. instead of monitoring 1 thing i can monitor 3 very imprtant things ;)
LOLz.... Synapse needs to work on the tuning!
im not driving to middle of no-where NY to get a tune on my car.......i live in OK. the tuning is very close to where it needs to be but im goin for 400 anyways. unless ur sayin synapse needs to rethink their kits? idk man lol im just havin fun and shit
slowswap 10-10-2009, 01:12 PM That is hardly a gauge fest. That's just a few normal gauges.
stagezero 10-10-2009, 01:19 PM That is hardly a gauge fest. That's just a few normal gauges.
thanks bro. a guage fest is oil temp, oil pressure, a tac, tranny temp, coolent temp. what most hondas have.........thats a fest i have a stock rpd and boost guage and a boost controller........idk i might have to look up guage fest to see if i qualify.......

They could mess with those cam timing tables and turn the heat up
stagezero 10-10-2009, 02:27 PM They could mess with those cam timing tables and turn the heat up
im not that great with knowing stuff about timing..........how will the timing help me boost faster? do i need to add or take away?
heres a gauge fest

2K5SS/SC? 10-11-2009, 06:09 AM More timing down low should help the car get into it's powerband a bit quicker. I haven't tuned an LNF personally, so I'm not 100% sure how to get it right with the variable valve timing, but I know there is a lot more power to be had from it.
blackvette101 10-11-2009, 10:47 PM How are you doing on the fueling side what your injector pulse width.
stagezero 10-12-2009, 09:28 PM How are you doing on the fueling side what your injector pulse width.
by that question do u mean if im maxin out my injectors? then the answer would be no. im running on 80/85% workload on them as of righ now. its nice cause my boost guage adjusts boost to what pulswidth id like to run and figures out the boost from the pulsewidth. so i dialed in 80/85 and pushin 24 psi. and if i run straight race fuel then i can dial down the pulse a lil and make it easier on my injectors

wait wut?

lol yeah im a bit confusing b ut thats the best i can explain it i guess. u dont adjust boost on my boost conroler by typing in the boost u want but rather typing in and working off of ur pulse width. so u dont overload and kill ur injectors....there is that better?

i made a thread on it but no one seemed to care about it. its expensive and i found another site that sales it for less.

in the future i plan on porting the head(and building it), bore out the engine, cams, and have GM Performance build me a tranny for it and through on a huge snail and a bottle
