winding noise when slowing down
winding noise when slowing down
i dont know what it is does any1 else experience it. when im coming to a top i can hear a winding noise.its not very loud but u can mos def hear it. its not the tranny or the engine. could it be my diff. i dont really know if this could end up being a problem or something maint. waise that i have to do. i jsut recently noticed this when i got my car shipped to me last week. i dont remember if b4. the weather here has been like in the 40's, so anyone else in the cold experiencing this. and the only mods i have done is ttr engine mount n tranny bushings. let me know what u think.
Is you car equipped with LSD? If it is the sound MAY be coming from there. The type of LSD used in the SS is known to be a little noisy. But it IS the best around. Why do you think it's not coming from either the engine or transmission?
yes i do have an lsd, the reason y i didnt think its the tranny is because i dont down shift when i stop. so i led me to believe it was something else, like the diff. the noise decelerates as my speed does. and i dont think its my engine because i will rev it as i slow down or even while im driving and it never wines until then.maybe its my supercharger ha ha jk. its really only audible from like 20 mph and under. i dont think i have to much to worry about but would like to know what it is. n i dont believe its the tranny being that im in neutral when i slow down so therefore it would not be enganged. unless im wrong.
when i go to work at 4am and i drive my car from the garage to the stop sign i coast to it in neutral and i hear what i was thinking was the flywheel or some transmission part, sounds cool to me
i only notice it on cold starts

i only notice it on cold starts
yes i am joking wehn i say big thingy in the front i do not have a supercharger. my car is on 09 SSTC. i know that teh diff between a SC and a TC. but gotta love the TC more
