If you were a designer on the Chevy Cobalt, what would you have done differently on our cars? I'm just curious what other cobalt owners think should have been different in our cars. Make a list of 10 you think are important, trying to keep similar price range of our cars and realistic changes :). (what ever version of the Cobalt, ls, lt, ss/na, ss/tc, ss,sc)

so for my SS/TC 4door,
1- Have some sort of key less system standard on SS(if it was affordable)
2- change the damn plastic piece around the sunroof button
3- made a more aggressive rear end, the rear end is my least favorite part of our cars (sedans especially, the coupe looks better than sedan, but has much room for improvement)
4- made trunk door opening much wider
5- have an extra purchasable sub to match the stock 10"
6- reorganize the center area, with some sort of center console/ armrest
7- replace ebrake plastic with something with a better look/ feel
8- (Not sure if this is a problem in the SS/tc's but it feels the same as my SS/sc) the interior handles paintwork wears out quickly and chips way to easily.
9- have the plastic material a little bit more high quality with something that doesn't scratch to easily.(maybe a rubberized coating of some sort?).
10- In the cars with sunroofs, have some sort of light for the back seats.

11**- AWD(I know it would cost a bit more, but would be worth the extra couple g on our light cars with powerful engines)
12**- I wish we had the moon roof of the Open Air concept, how that thing opens is badass. Most likely breaks way too easily/ costs too much though :(
go to about 41 seconds left of the video to see it in action

13** have cobalt ss/sc come with stage 2 setup stock :) and have ss/tc come with the gm kit stock too :)

i agree with keyless entry
awd is not feasible in this small of a car at this price point and rwd would eliminate the draw of this vehicle in the northern states
More storage is needed
better plastics around the parking brake

I really liked my SS . The only thing that really is unforgiveable , is the plastics in the car should at least been on par with a cheap ass VW rabbit or cheap ass Honda Fit . The interior design is cool , but ruined by shiney plastic that scratches if u just look at it funny . Much cheaper cars have much nicer materials used inside , so FAIL to GM for that . Its an economy car so Im not expecting a caddy quality squishy padded dash that lether wrapped :D , but their are better grains and grades of plastic that is waaaay less shiney and way less resistent to scratches <<< GM still doesnt get this in anything :D

...only other thing , is the damn bol pattern on the wheel . GM : " hmmm we want to appeal and take over the tuner market " ....geee lets see here , how bouts using the most f'ed up bolt pattern that will never fully catch on .

1) the interior. the plastic on the door pannels is alright, doesnt bother me too much, but the dash sucks. i like the shape, but have it wrapped in vinal or something.
2)the trunk opening, you can fit multiple dead bodies in the trunk but ya cant get em in there, its just too small.
3)stock tires, what was gm thinking. on all models the tires suck. get busy put some real tires on the thing. i know this isnt a design issue and its something you only need to live with for so long, but seriously, the stock tires all suck.
4)bolt pattern, i can understand gm using their new bolt pattern, but really, 5x100 or 5x115, the both work fine.
