Screwd Twice

So I sold my SRT-4 because the resale was dropping faster than the bowel transit time of Texas Atomic Chile due to Chrysler's lack of support. So I thought I would go get me a Colbalt now that they are turbocharged. No sooner do I sign up for this forum than I learn no stages yet and end of the line soon for the Cobalt! So is there any GM car coming up with the following specs:
1)Little car (light car).
2)Big Horsepower.

That's it - I don't need a lot.

Should have kept your SRT.

Having said that, there is a stage kit out which puts you at 280 hp and 320 lb-ft...

No earlier than 2012 there will be a somewhat higher performance version of the Cruze, GM's replacement for the Cobalt.. which should weigh that much more. No word on any possible powertrain or if there will be a coupe.

there are several stage kits, Use the search button, you will also see most put over 300whp.

GM has a stage 1 kit. produces roughly 280hp 300tq.

Saturn Sky Redline/Pontiac Solstice GXP
4cyl RWD 2800lbs 5 sp sam emotor as the ss/tc.
Tune makes 300whp, 350wtq, turbo swap will get you to 400whp (due to fueling issues), and as soon as ZZP releases their fueling fix (currently on their car as a prototype part) you can make 500rwhp with that turbo swap.

alternatively, you can just get the cobalt SS and do the same mods and make the same power numbers at the front wheels.

i totally thought btw that screwed twice was a lay on words, and that you got a twin screw blower...lol

I'm spoiled by the plug and play aspect of the Dodge stages. As far as aftermarket big HP upgrades, BTDT and it is usually (always) at the expense of driveablity

I understand about this first GM stage, but is there anything in the works OEM like a stage after that good for 350HP? Tried search - no joy.

Nothin after stage 1 that i know of. could always just get bolt ons then get it tuned with HPTuners or something. youll have over 300hp easily. and later down the road throw a K04+ on there. should be able to get 350+ hp with that.

As it sits right now the cruze is lighter than the cobalt

Nice. SS will add a pound or two but they should be on par.
