First drag runs in SS SC

Well my first runs in the car proved to be interesting.Launching is the key i found out real fast . Its hard to go up to the tree and just slowly pull away.I had that in my head and when the tree came down i was hammer down both times. 2nd run was faster with a few pounds of air off the stock tire pressure. But again i went up there with the slow take off in mind and like a dummy i was hammer down again .So i can see alot of test and tune nites in my future . First time in prolly 26 years driveing a stick shift in the 1320. And a first in a fwd car.Alot to learn here for sure . BTW its pure stock .

I ran 14.5 my first night at the track but lets not make the guy feel bad just practice man btw are you in a s/c or just an ss? Also the track has a big to do with how fast you run and if it is not prepped right mario andretti couldn't pull off a good number. PRACTICE! Hey at least it wasn't 17's like I heard someone ran the other day in a s/c.

thats actually not bad.... maybe the weather conditions werent favourable guys...

he had 2.4 second 60 foots.. that isnt that bad.

Takes a few days at the track to get the launch down... just dont powershift, i powershifted 5 passes and well...lets just say i am ordering a new clutch today!

not bad for first time. youll def get better. thats kinda looking like how i did last night couldnt get what i normally get. i usually get 11.7 to 11.9 in the 1000 ft but couldnt get below 12.3 last night. but each track and each day is different so some days the weathers just not there.

dude you made me feel so much better! with all these guys sayin they got 14.7-8-9 there first time out i got discuraged cause i could only muster a 15.1 @ 94 my first time out. I thought it was launching but I was getting 2.3 60' times, I was just shifting like i was on the street. I watched a video of my runs, and it took almost a second to go from second to third.

don't be discouraged, I found the ss s/c difficult to launch as well. with just an injen cai i had like 2.3 60's and a best of 14.6. track prep was horrible, it was cold, and traction did not exist with my car that night. it's all about getting used to your car and learning exactly how to launch it. practice practice practice
