So I'm hAnging out at the local shell and a new cobalt roles up I have never seen in town yet. Well this kid steps out maybe 18 or so and comments on my 06 ss/sc I say thanks is urs the sc or tc he lAughs and says it's the ss/es so I'm like WTF is that I have never heard of it and the kid says it's a08 ss that is super charged but comes from the factory with stage 2 already installed. I was unaware that chevy even did that. Do thEy? I guess it's fesable but what really made me question him is he refused to pop the hood so I could scope it out. Any thoughts guys?

i believe 07 was the last year of the sc. but i know with the current ss you can have the stage1 kit installed at the dealer when you buy the car so i dont see why it couldnt have been done before

SS/SC ended production in 07. To my knowledge you can't get any of the stage kits offered on the SS whether it be TC or SC installed at the factory. They would most likely add the price of the kit to your cost that they are financing but would be installed at the dealer prior to picking it up for the first time.

 

You can add the option on Chevy.com, but I'm not sure if it's installed from the factory or not.

Was probably a rebadged LS. I would have told him he was full of **** unless he showed me the engine.

 

Probably just a cobalt sport with the 2.4L motor.

2: GM Does offer Stage 1 and 2 kits. I supose its possible to
arrange for one to be installed on your new car at time of purchase
or as an ordered option.

did you check for the front and rear lip? if it doesnt ahve the lip then its not sc or tc.. simple as that...

 

It had the lips and side skirts and the ss badge but not a es or the supercharged/turbocharged badge he said he took those off

hey mrader what do you drive? i drive an 07 yellow ss with black stripes, you may have seen me driving around. i go down to shell sometimes but after all the guns and stabbings and **** i usually dont go anymore.

 

My SS Turbo does not have a rear lip...so ha...but it is the sedan.
