You can buy it direct from Quaife America. TTR also sells the Quaife unit through their site.

You can only get that from the factory if you or the dealer order it that way. You can't get it installed after you have the car.

I would assume not having an lsd would affect both 1/4 times and handling #s.

If you don't want to spend the 1500 on the quaife, you can always weld ur stock diff and hope u don't hit a bump. lol

that sucks, if I knew it affected anything engine wise... or performance wise, i didnt even have it mentioned to me, sucks!

 

Could possibly buy a full trans+LSD from GM (with a GM discount if you have it) for less than the price of buying just an LSD and trying to have it installed in the non-LSD trans. That route would actually give you a spare trans sitting around. Just a thought.

Quaife sells it for $1500.
There is a company in the states that sell GM parts and they want $2000 for TRANNY WITH LSD. that is the way to go!!!

 

Who's selling that tranny, do you know? It'd be nice if they'd offer a core return too...

 

quaife is the one that comes factory on the cobalt srt4 and many others - charger. of course there not the same part but made by the same company

Ummm, find a dealer that doesn't want to rip you off and save yourself some shipping? Can't be too hard, any Chevy dealer around here gives about the same price if not better than most of the online dealer sites including those two that I've found.
