beware soft paint...

I too have found that this paint finish is very soft. I went to a high end detailer and he said that these are not corvette style paint jobs on our cars so becareful about the soft finish and be prepared to wax often.

Thats a tough situation. What are you expecting of the dealer to do ?

300km isn't very long, I put like 500 miles on my car the first day

How long have you had the car? I would take it to dealer and see what they say.

Jeez Zinner, did you drive all day long? Talk about a stick in the mud at $2.55ish for 91 octane gas.

The clearcoat scratches very very easily!!!!!

I ran mine through the dealerships carwash, which is free as long as I own the vehicle, and got a couple small scratches ono the drivers door and a few tiny ones on the wing.

I'm washing it at home from now on...........

Same question here. But, most cars with an antenna can be taken off by simply unscrewing it. Also most carwashes should know that even the dealerships.

Which antenna ?

FM Radio is rear passenger side next to the trunk lid.
XM is a black shark fin behind the sun roof
The Onstar I think is in front of the sunroof, not 100% sure since I have only seen it once briefly.

Yep, most car wash places are required to recycle water. That means all the dirt from the past car washes are in the water. The car wash places are *supposed* to filter the water. But filters are consumable items and need to be monitored and replaced and well I don't trust a car wash place enough to do that. I would rather have my Cobalt caked in mudd, filthy that take it to a car wash place.

With all the particles in the recycled water it's more like sand blasting your finish.

It unscrews. In fact it's usually a little on the lose side.

The FM antenna is long too. It always hits my garage door and makes me jump, thinking I'm scratching the side of my car. Had the car for 3 weeks now and still jump when I hear it.
Go to a GM dealer (if you have the car already--or when you pick yours up) and ask for an antenna attachment tool. All cars with external antennas come with one, but they throw them out as soon as they attach your antenna (done at the dealers).

And as for car washes recycling water, I think that depends where you live. I think they all use fresh water here. I wouldn't put my car through anything but touchless though.
I'm ordering some Dri-Wash for it. I used it on my last car alot and loved it.

OK...I just got done designing 2 carwashes. Yes the water is recycled, BUT when it reenters the system the water has be 95% cleaned. The water in my systems I design go throu 3 reclaim tanks which are filles with sand and have 3 tanks inside to have any dirt settle to the bottom. Also these automated car washes use R/o systems and water softeners. The water that ends up being used is soooooo much better than what you can get your hands on.
