just get it done professionally, it really shouldnt cost much. to save money, take the shocks and struts out and have them just take out the old springs and put in the new springs. youll thank me later.

what do you mean take the shocks and struts out? do you mean out of the equation or out of the car? if its out of the equation no dice cuz iwant the performance struts/shocks so my stock ones dont give out prematurely. if its out of the car i dont have tools or space to do the work. probably just gonna do it at the stealership.

...then just go to whomever you trust. A local guy should be able to do it without screwing it up.

The dealership I bought my ss/sc from quoted me 97 for the fronts and 65 for the years so about $162. Next dealership i called just out of curiosity told me $450 total and thats pretty much when I laughed and hung up.

You won't find many places that will touch the job for under 400 dollars.

Most places also won't do the job without charging you for an alignment.

a local dealer gave me a $560 quote to put a sportline kit on my car. I told him he's out of his f'n mind. Asked if he was kidding. He replied like I had no nerve to question his quote even after I told him that 3 other shops in town would do it for under $300. He said he would not match the price or even split the difference. What's up with these dealers screwing us like a $2 *****? (Keep in mind, this is AFTER I ordered a Stage2 kit AND a Corsa Exhaust from them a week earlier) They insist on raping us and it's BS! I know it's a business, but HOLY HELL! :P

Peace

I had mine replaced (sportlines), along with a wheel stud and a 4-wheel alignment for a pinch under 200 dollars, good quality
I know they did a good alignment because my steering no longer sways to one side anymore

P.S. This was not done at a dealership, just a professional local garage
