Are you fucked? What does a spacer have to do with the inside diameter of the wheel and the size of the rotor and caliper? A spacer is going to fix offset, not size. Only way a spacer is going to wprk is it you drive around like a Gino with 14" Daytons on a caravan sticking 9 inches out the side of the van.

not true. ^^^ the caliper is angled on the edge, and adding the spacer moves the wheel out so it will fit. thats why the spacer is needed to fit the 15 on the ss/sc. and wheels are not all straight on the inside, they are curved too, so it does make a difference.

oh yeah.. ARE YOU FUCKED. idiot.

i'm a noob here and have already read all this in other posts. check the search button.

PS. Are you fucked. <-- how stupid is that.

That's exactly what I just said "G-Unit". The spacer will have to be big enough to push the wheel out to clear the caliper. I don't want that. If a 15" won't fit then I will go to 16". I am not going to rig up a spacer setup and change my lug bolts everytime I go to the track.

You wanna start calling people an idiot? Look at your ******* screen name, Then look at what you put for your location.........No matter how hard you try, Your never going to be 50 Cent! ***

you won't need to "rig up" a spacer and change anything out...its not going to take a 10mm spacer to fit 15" wheels on the SS/SC (if they fit).

at most you are going to need a 5mm spacer which will still allow you to run 15" wheels on the SS/SC, but will stop the spokes from coming in contact with the caliper.

But anyway, in all honesty I doubt it'll fit.

Someone already physically tried this. See the post:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/wheels-tires-96/wheel-fitment-f-q-stock-wheel-f-q-how-get-wheels-your-cobalt-read-me-8149/

Here's what he said:

b) 15" 5x110.. fit perfectly as far as bolt pattern goes of course, but the calipers were in the way and it wouldn't go all the way back.. no dice.

c) 16" 5x110.. this was the last one they tried.. and success! they were only 59.99 too, sweet dealio.. I will have to purchase new nuts however for the wheels too, since in order to get the steels tight, I'd have to pop right through the ones for the stock wheels. (the stock wheels are thicker on the bolts).

When we went to look for tires, I think someone already mentioned it here, our complete radius stock tires is about 25.6", if you get 205/60/16 tires.. that would put you in the facinity of 25.7" which should be just fine.

205/60/16 might be a little beefy looking though...I'd try to find a 215/55/16 or 205/55/16 tire

here are my 16's on my car
there are bare millimetres between the caliper and the rim, so its a definite no unless u have spacers and no idea if that would even work or how big you would have to go

No! 15" wheels will not clear the front rotors! I have 16" steelies for the winter, and there is like 3/8" clearance between the rim and the brake rotor.
