cobalt convertible
cobalt convertible
does anyone if GM plans to roll out a cobalt convertible in the next few years? if so i'm buying one!!!!!!! Cobalt SS Convertible , that would be cool!
I am against this idea. No other small car has a 4 door, coupe and convertible.
GM has the Solstice--which is cheaper then the Cobalt SS--and the upcoming G6 convertible.
I remember seeing a Sunfire convertible a few years ago--it cost as much as Firebird Formula!

I can see the solstice is a choice but its a 2 seater. If GM was to release a cobalt convertible it should have 2 models SS and LS that way it could fit the needs of 2 target markets: high performance convertible buyer and a person that wants a cheap convertible. The Cavalier Z24 and RS is a great example. If GM doesn't release a Cobalt Convertible i'm gonna pick up a 2000 Cavalier Convertible thats it.
Seriously--you just said affordable convertible. Thats what I eluded to when I said that Sunfire convertible cost as much as a Firebird Formula.
A Cobalt convertbile would be exspensive...I don't know how it could be done cheaply. I would think it would cost more then an SS coupe. They would have to design it on a car that wasn't originally designed as a convertible and build all those developemetn costs into the price.
I dunno---with out that roofline I am not sure it would look good at all.
the astra has a convertible available and it looks pretty sweet, im sure GM is probably looking at the possibilty, they need to find out if there is a market for them.
