I was driving in my 2.2 base model and started to realize. ****!! I havnt had ANY problems. no scratched rims... no paint peeling off my rims.... no discolored rims... no battery problems.... my car always starts when i turn the key.... no problems with the intake.... i havnt had any problems with my windows going down.... no problems with my exaust... no CEL codes going off... no trim pieces starting to break.. no door wearing.... no sunroof problems... no sitting in the garage for weeks being repaired.... wow i'm glad i got the base model and hell. my payments real cheap



ohhhh yea and i can see out my rear view mirror!!!

 

I have an 06 SS/SC and other then having my car broken into and waiting forever for the glass, and the radio dying I have been problem free

Well, I have a 2006 S/C SS and I have none of the issues you described. Mine is just as reliable as yours, looks a heck of alot better, gets just as good gas mileage, and I can actually feel comfortable racing somebody. I'd rather run 12's and not see as good out the back window then be able to see out the back window fully. You don't need to see out the back anyway, trust me-nobody's back there when you're racing your 2.2. The wing is removable. I am glad you like your car, but even some 2.2's have some of the issues you were describing.

So can I! I can also figure out how to use my side mirrors when I need to!!!!

What's more, I get an awesome whine out of the car when I get on it and a great feeling knowing that I've got over 200 ponies going to the ground in a car that cost less than $20k...

ur hating bad man, You probaly gotta badly smoked by an SS.SC and realised how SLOW you were. Then you go home and decide to take off your anger by sopousebly talking aobut how good your base model is and how reliable it is . However, You still have a Base 100whp 2.2 man! Take you anger somewhere else.
