Was at the dealership today...

It was fully loaded except for the G85 pacakge.
The dealer add on steped the car from 24,9 to 30!!!!
The add on's were some type of security BS...

Unless you know someone you will never get a car this popular off the lot without a jacked up price... so meet someone or just order it.

The most you can pay if you order it is the MAXIMUM SUGGESTED Retail Price.

Go to GMBuyPower.com and build the car it will give you an MSRP and you dont have to pay more than that.

Also go to vehix.com and build it and they will tell you the MSRP and the Invoice

Sounds like you need to find a diff dealer... either that or get the name of the guy who gave you that price then call the dealership and ask for ther General Managers extension and tell him what happened and with who.

Dealers are at liberty to sell any vehicle for whatever they want to sell them for. Does it make it right? Of course not. I think in the long run it hurts the dealer. But look at it from the dealers POV. They may be one if not the only dealer that has one on the lot within a certain radius. So if they sold it right away at MSRP, that's money that the dealer is to some degree missing out on. Considering that right now GM overall is having problems with quarterly losses, upwards of over a billion dollars, I would imagine because they're discounting the trucks so much, and the factory to dealer incentives are so huge (combined upwards of $10,000 on some vehicles) that the manufacturer is taking a loss just to make sales. It's actually ver sad

Once again back to finding a diff dealership... My chevy dealer has a Red SS with XM Just under MSRP on the lot, not all dealerships are out for a scandal.

I never suggested that ALL dealers are that way, but ALL dealers CAN if they CHOSE to if they wanted to hike the price up of any car. Not all do though

We have been selling our Cobalts under invoice - we give everyone the GM Supplier Price (you'd get it too if you bought from me), or if they are real GMS - GMS is the price!

Still waiting for our Cobalt Supercharged to arrive, but pricing will be no different, it's simply going to be a matter of who buys it first.

Occasionally some dealers ask for more than sticker, but then again, you always have the option to look elsewhere, or just say NO (like you do to ugly girls)!

P.S. Not all salesmen are crooks! The dealers are asking for the extra money because demand is great er than supply, the salesperson is there to simply put the deal together.
