boost gauge frenzy

I was driving down to Kragen Auto Parts to purchase my K&N drop-in-filter and as i look towards my boost gauge...all i see is it frozen on 10(below zero). I gassed it and nothing happened. It seemed that the engine was fine, just the gauge not working properly. So i made my way to the dealership and all of a sudden it works fine...I think, I'm not sure if its 100% accurate as before you know? So now when I turn my car off, the needle stays at zero, but isn't it supposed to drop to like 20?

Has anyone had this problem before?????

Let me know guys cuz I wanna make sure everything is working fine before I mod n all.

Ok thanks

If you turn the ignition off really quickly, it stays at 20 (below 0). If you just click the ignition off one click and still have the accessory on, it will go to 0.

if you're still not satisfied get an autometer boost/vacum gauge, they're as accurate as can be.

If you are buying a new gauge, go for the aeroforce interceptor scan gauge. Installed mine last night and wow. This gauge does everything except read a/f ratios...well not yet at least. I'm trying to figure out how to hook up a wideband sensor to one of its anaologue inputs.

Our gauge is already from Autometer...take a close look at it. Unless the name is just there for no reason...

The autometer one he is talking about is a mechanical guage as compared to the stock electric guage. Mechanical guages in generally more accurate

Eh, if I knew more about that stuff, I probably would have caught on anyway.
