which pulley and cold air should i go with?

I'm looking to purchase a pulley and a cold air but my options seem limited what would be the best priced and best performing pulley and cold air. All i've seen is K&N or Injen cold air's is there anyone else and what about pulley's?

AEM
Injen
K&N
JBP
Fujita
Ebay no name

I have injen and love it. A CAI is a CAI IMO. Get which ever name appeals to you, and the best price you can find.

Pulley is a little different. When swapping pulleys you usually need new belts/fuel injectors/tensioners/plugs/maf-t's etc. This answer isnt as plain cut as your looking for.

if you are going with a smaller pulley size, do it right and get larger injectors, a new belt, a pulley puller... etc (as he stated)

as for CAI most ppl seem to go with K&N and Injen. those are my two recommendations, and personally, i wouldnt stray from those two companies. keep in mind that Injen now has a 'dent' in the pipe to clear the hood. personally, i dont really mind it (and yes i have an Injen)

I would go with Injen for the CAI. Just dont use the vibramount included and it will be a perfect fit.

It depends on what size pulley you want. I assume you want atleast a 2.8. I would honestly get the 60lb injectors regardless and then tune the car to what you need. At that point you should get the colder plugs and idler pulley as well to help pick up the slack.

If tuning isn't an option for you, then get an Intense stage kit. It will include everything I stated above, plus the tune for the car so everything is being taken advantage of and being used properly.

Fujita for your intakes are supposed to be pretty good with no dent and they used to be a lot more then the Injen but now theyre the same.
As for the pulley, I wouldnt go below 2.8" because your gonna have to get or a snout or something like that. 2.8" with 42lb injectors seems perfect to me and you aint overspinning the blower like with 2.6" and below (2.7" just barely makes it). IMO, you dont need 60lb injectors for anything above 2.7".

i'm a fan of the K&N unit due to there reputation but i just totaly reworked my stock set-up and it works just fine for me!!!

it takes a bit more work then a simple "air box mod" to get what i'm talking about but nothing CRAZY

as for the pully if you want somthing simple get a BlletFlow 2.9 with 1step colder plugs and a 76mm idler pully and you'll be set on a totaly stock car.

DO NOT GO SMALLER THEN THAT ON STOCK INJECTERS!

I know this sounds dumb but a little correction here.

you dont need to work the snout over untill you go below a 2.7 with a BilletFlow pully (somebody has a 2.6 that works with out workin on it)

also BilletFlow does not make a 2.8....its eather a 2.9 or 2.7 Doug at BilletFLow actualy mesures his pullys in the rite spot!!!

ZZP Pulleys go down to 2.6 without machining the snout too.

I could be wrong but I think 24lb? Sounds pretty low but that number sticks out for some reason.

Injen or K&N CAI should be just fine....

as far as pulley upgrades, just like the others have said, you need to upgrade your fuel system, as well as have some sort of tuning, as well as colder spark plugs. Your options here are also your choice. Such as the GM stage kits, Intense kits, or HP Tuners.

However, there are other companies that make pulleys, like ZZP, SFPH, etc.

Its up to you, and how much you have to spend.....

Personally, I'd go wtih a Injen or K&N CAI, GM stage II, and then the pulleyboys 2.8" pulley. Don't forget to get one step colder plugs too.
