GM STage 2 =12 psi

Ok so i just got my car. It has 1200 miles on it and i was only able to get 10 psi when at full boost. Now that I got stage 2 I thought it would go up to 15 psi, but im only seein like 12-13 Psi. Is this due to the engine still breakin itself in? Any help would be appreciated.

this would likely be due to break in

edit: take it to the dealer to see if they can see if there is a boost leak

I'm getting 14-15 psi on mine right from the begining, but it could be a break in thing too

When you got your car did it only run 10 psi in the beginning.
Nuclear how many miles were on your car when you got the stage 2? Thanks

OK here's the thing. If you punch it in say 2nd gear at 3,000rpms. You will see around 12psi for a couple thousand rpms. It's when you reach 6,000 and 6,800rpm that the boost finaly reaches 15psi. So it's not what happens in the begining it's what happens at the end if you know what I mean. You have to go all the way to or near the rev limiter to see the full boost. Common mistake. No worries.

Ill go test it out. Usually im looking at my rpm gauge around those rpms so maybe thats it. Thanks for the help.

Good call. You'll see what I was talking about.

BTW! It has nothing to do with break in.

You will gain more boost as it is broken in. It takes a few thousand miles until the engine gets really strong. If you are reading 13 lbs of boost with that low mileage, you will definately see more down the road.

i think the engine still needs to be broke in.... the only thing weird i experienced with stage 2 was the first time i tried to take it to 7k it bounced on the 6500 limiter... i was liek wtf and did it again and it worked just fine.
