Intake or exhaust

Hi I am getting my stage 2 on in 10 to 15 days and i want to do some pre mods before it actully goes on (cause i no it works better) but i was wondering what one of the 2 whould be the better one to do first. and if it is the intake should i get it now or wait so the dealer wont get mad.

thank you

I would think exhaust. You want all that hot air to get out as fast and efficiently as possible.

You might want to look into getting one step colder spark plugs as well. Only $10 + shipping from Cobalt-Addiction for the copper NGK's.

I don't think the dealer will care if you have an intake, go with what you think would be better. I personally started with exhaust, but intake followed like 2 or 3 weeks later.

your dealer prob wont be happy with any mods you do prior to the install.

have some patience and get your stage kit installed first.
i kno my dealer didnt like my intake and exhuast at all. :S

Thank god my dealer is sweet. They installed it for me and they kept gathering around when I left to hear it. The guy who sold it to me gives me random calls about any new parts I might need to get installed. haha lovee it

If I were you I would go for intake first just because my friends tell me the first thing they start to get rid of on their cars is weight....aftermarket CAI usually=less weight plus it looks good when you pop the hood

Why free up air going in when it can't get out any faster. That's like adding 2 new entrance doors but only having one exit.

The simlpe answer is both. But for now try the intake because it sounds bad ass and looks good.

Yeah actually aftermarket intakes do cut back on weight in most cases and some chrome under the hood definately looks better then that stupid stock black plastic

But that is like the ricer definition of a CAI. How about it adds horsepower and creates a very nice distinct sound..

Gonna go with BOTH as well, no point getting air in if it can't get out, but either one will work for the time being, I have yet to put my exhaust on due to the fact I ordered it while I am still in kuwait, but I noticed a nice difference just from the intake before I left...
