Mods on a budget

Just wondering if you guys could tell me about anything I can do that won't cost much. I'm on a pretty tight budget but i really want to try something. Either that or i could dump the g/f. That would open up a ton of possibilities lol

Airbox Mod definetly, maybe a smaller SC pulley but its reccomended to get larger fuel injectors with that. You have a SS SC right?

honestly... if you do cheap mods, you get cheap results. buying a pacesetter exhaust is cheaper than the GMPP or corsa... but it's crap. you get the idea.

if you really want big bang for the buck, first start by asking what you want out of the car. if you just want to "feel" sporty... a nice set of sport springs for $300 and a $100 alightment can really wake up the way a car rides. meanwhile, if you want a sporty sound, many people have had a nice magnaflow muffler and axle back fabbed up for around $200. the K&N is a good value and airbox mod are also simple cheap things you can do.

personally, i'd rather see you take 4 months to save for something like an exhaust and get something good that won't rust, rattle, fall off, or sound like crap. than do it "on the cheap"

E-bay man.... or check the "Classifieds" section here... good deals all the time!

Not to brag.... but I paid $150 for my CAI... $200 for the manifold... and $250 for the exhaust.

Just keep your eyes open...

thanks for the info guys. but yea..most likely i'll go with the k&n filter for now. i probably won't ever change the exhaust, i like the way the factory exhaust looks and sounds. nice and quiet while driving. i mean..i drove an accord for 5 years before buying the cobalt. had all the basic bolt-ons on it..and i seriously thought i was gonna go deaf the last year i had the car because the damn exhaust just got louder and louder -_-' . and my g/f does have a job...all her money just goes to her "needs"..you know..the usual...pedicure, manicure, shopping..etc . what i really want is an HID kit for the car...its gonna be a while though...perhaps i'll make her pay for part of it
