Cruise Control?

So I drove my SS/SC to MD last weekend from NC (8 hr drive) and on the way back my Cruise Control took a **** on me. Seems the toggle button went bad and needs to be replaced. it kinda wiggles in there if ya' know what I mean. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine just stopped working last night. Also when putting the car in reverse does anyones car idle real bad like the rpm's drop then go to normal. It does this like 3 times then its fine My car only has 2k miles too.

I think the reverse idle and even just starting up idle dropping and them back to normal only happened to me like once or twice, but seems to be fine now. As for the cruise control, I went to Ottawa (From Montreal; About 200 km's one-way) two weekends in a row and used my cruise all the time, works fine. But, I do notice that my cruise on/off button on the left is loose, but still works great.

This will sound dumb but is it possible that you maybe almost stalled the car? The other day I was backing out of the driveway at my parents house which is on a steep hill and I didn't give it enough gas. Instead of letting the car die I clutched it really quick and stop for a second. The revs dropped to almost nothing then shot up to about 2k and repeated that a couple of more times then all was well and I drove off as normal. It seemed to me that almost stalling the car caused the computer to overcompensate a few times and it took it a second or two to get it's bearings again.

It only happens when i drive for like 20 minutes then i pull in reverse in to my garage. I have the clutch fully pressed down and the rpm's go low then they go back up about three times then its good.

And this is not happening because of the upgrades. This was also happening at stock.

I took it in and all they found was a bad switch, no codes. I guess time will tell!

I feel ya Allshot

I know exactly what you are talking about with the rpms dropping. I got a 06 SS/SC with about 5k on it bone stock. Mine doesn't do it ever in reverse though. I have seen it doing it like when im pulling up to a stop sign/light and i have the clutch fully pressed just rolling going around 20 mph. The rpms drop way down (below 1000) 3 times then the car idles back up like nothing ever happend. Some might not even notice it if they don't pay attention. The only reason I notice it was bc i was watching how rpms seem to adjust themself to your speed when rolling with clutch fully depressed.
