Angry Just got a call from Dealer 2 minutes ago for STAGE 2!!!

Okay listen to this:

I sent an online quote of how much stage 2 AND install will cost here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The dealer where I bought my baby called and said, and I quote: "It is not available in Canada and won't be for this year for sure." So, of all the knowledge I gained from this website, I decided to just go along. He said the only thing for me, if I wanted it, would be to go down to Plattsburg or NY and get it there and install it there because they are not authorized to install it in Canada. He also stated that it will void my warentee because they have to report the change!!!! WTF IS THIS!!!!!! bullshit i find! Comments PLZ!!!!!!!!

never heard of that before. GM is GM no matter what country IMO. I say they are being lazy, order it from the US and get it installed in canada. If something goes wrong, it's all GM brand so what's the difference. Write Corporate and see what's up. Service men usually are full of **** and don't know what they're talking about.

You're dealership is full of ****, talk to the service manager and have him call the area rep to solve this. It is very likely that Stage 2 is not available but it voiding your warrenty is BS as well my stage 2 was from the US and I got it installed in New brunswick. Go back and tell them off especially since you bought the car from them I would tear them a new one.

I had the same kinda trouble. I had someone from GM call the delaership to help them out. Ask the Service Manager or a Service Writer for their local GM rep and give him/her a call.

Ohh yeah and if u do get it installed Plattsburg or NY and they want to try and void your warranty those this big fat article in their face .
"The kits are easy to install and conform to all GM engineering and validation standards for the Cobalt and ION," said Philippart. "And, best of all, they're backed by GM."

Nice... But if I do go to NY and install Stage 2 there by a tech, it wont void anything right? In other words, doesnt matter where i install it, as long as its genuine GM parts it does not void my warentee? Or does it matter who installs it?

PS: Link doesn't work for some reason: Internal Server Error Ill try again!!
