Dead tach and no 2nd/4th gear power

Bad news......my car went psycho today. It might be in the shop over the weekend!!! My tach went to 0 while driving, and car was still running. Was able to drive normal, then a min later b4 I could pull over and stop, the car tried to stall out. Well I slowed down and put it in second and bam, no power in second. third had power, and forth didn't. I crawl into a parking lot. My roommate goes in for drug test for new job, start up and leave and it's fine. On the way to work it kept sputtering and acting like it was going to stall while I was on 75 goin to Troy. So pissed cause Dan Hemm refuses to give me a loaner under warrenty (WTF!). Also, they won't even look at it cause I didn't buy it from them and they "bet it's been run hard as hell cause I look to young to handle it". (Again, WTF!) Weirdly, on the way home today from work (11:30pm) it ran 100% fine, but used nearly a 1/4 tank of gas to go 25 miles. Any ideas? MAinly where to go around here as I moved and am outta my normal environment. Lima/Sidney/Piqua/Troy Ohio.

Any help is appreciatted.

Ok take it in. Did you get an extended warranty plan? If so stick to your loaner guns. Assats need to get you running.

Hopefully they don't plame it on your airbox mod letting water into the motor or something.

That's the thing, I need to find another dealer around me, but I dunno the area yet. Oh, and no "engine power reduced" message.
Forgot to mention that their last excuse on the loaner was "oh, but wait, you're only 20. We don't loan to people under 20" But I can buy....lol.....

You may not "legally" be able to get loaner. You need someone probably 25 or older to sign for the rental.

As for the dealer not wanting to look at your car - the warranty on your vehicle is a legal binding contract. By them refusing to look at your car they are breaching the contract made between you and GM. I would complain to GM and take my car to another dealer. (Just goto GM's website and you can find all the dealers in your area) They cannot refuse to work on your car unless they can PROVE that you did something in neglect to damage the vehicle. If you have some around to go with you to help "muscle" the dealer that can help sometimes too.
