You can't tune my car

Yeah, HPTuners software can't get into my computer. My computer throws a security light and check engine light when HPTuners tries to get in and you can't start the car up. I thought my car was toast lol. But yeah, for some reason it did not work. It did read, however, that it was an 05 cobalt SS, but the ecu would not communicate back with it. My car has a little bitch inside of it.

So this is the end of me buying mods for the engine of my car. I'm probably going to use the money now and buy some rims, lower it, maybe get my head unit.

get an intense pcm and start with that, then send yours to them, and get your core charge back

Yeah, I was optioned to get another stock chip tuned and go from there. But I don't know, maybe it's a sign my car is telling me to say "slow down". lol but seriously, maybe I should stop for a while at least because I start college soon and will have to pay that off. I really wanted to run low 13's on stock tires though. It was my goal. Maybe I should listen to the guy I work with. All he ever tells me is this, "Stop buying this little sh*t. Put everything back to stock and run nitrous" lol. He says it every day.

I had a similar thing happen to me. We left the door open while reflashing, and somehow that screwed up the computer. It put the VATS system on notice, so everytime I started up the car, just the vehicle anti theft system light would come on, and the car wouldn't start. We ended up being locked out the computer completely, and had to call a tow truck to get me home. Had to get a whole new computer.

Yup, the car would not start. We solved that by unhooking the battery. The door of the car was open while trying to read it....Should it have been closed? Also, version .10 and higher only reads it?

What do you mean "accessories"? Like an aftermarket gauge? Or subwoofer amplifier?

Damn Adam that sucks, but even if you hold off the tune for now you know you're going to want that extra power eventually.
