turbo?

hey just a question...IF the ss goes turbo in 2008 or some year. Do you think that GM will make stage kits, or turbo swap kit to replace the sc....also will the warranty still be ok?

Possibly but it really depends on how they are controlling the wastegate and what the setup looks like.

Like said, it's too early to really know.

No they haven't. If they did say that no one would buy an '07 SS/SC with 205HP if in a year they could buy a Cobalt SST with 260HP. The soonest we'd know is next spring when they release the 2008 model information.

Some sources say it will change, and a test mule of the HHR SS has been spotted and is reportedly running the 2.0L Turbo. It would make sense for GM to swith over anyhow. The Cobalt SS would be the only car using the LSJ. If it goes turbo than the Cobalt SS, Sostice GXP, Sky Redline, and Opel GT (Euro-only version of Sky/Solstice) would be running the 2.0L Turbo.

Also, not to make a bunch of nonsense, but rember that the LSJ is underrated as well as had been rated for power under the old SAE testing. The 2.0L Turbo's power comes through the new SAE standard. Most GM engines tested on the new SAE standard gained power. As a result it is possible that there may not be a huge difference in power. This of course is meerely specualtion. Only the dyno would tell the truth.
