2.8 problems

Having some issues with the 2.8. Ok this is hard to explain so ill just walk thro it like im racing some one. First gear i shift at about 6400, a very safe range from the rev limit of 7,000 grand. when i shift, i lose most of second gears rpms, so for example i shift at 6400 and it goes down maby a grand then go right back to redline. it takes a second to go down too, i shift at 64 grand when i shift it sits there for a sec then goes down alittle then right back up, same for 3rd two. I have the belt tentioner set to the second hole which is where its suppose to be for a 2.8 pully. could that be the belt still slipping. Or what else could it be. It does shift into second but i lose most of the rpms so its not the clutch.

Actually, that sounds exactly like clutch slipping. If it were the belt, you'd be losing boost, but your car would engage just fine. Sounds like it's not engaging at all from your words, but maybe I'm not reading it right.

where would be the best place to get a clutch that could handle the power?

I have no personal experience there, but from what I read it seems the Spec Stage 2+ is a good buy.
