Hot day at the track w/3" pulley
Went to the track here in fayettville NC today... It was pretty freaking hot air temps were around 104 track temps who knows.
my stock time is in my sig I beat that today after a few runs and letting my car sit in the shade for a while.
mods are as follows eibach sportlines, dc strut tower bar, progress RSB, Intense 3" pulley, airbox mod with cheap filter, intense transaxle mount inserts.
here are the times.

I was hoping to break into a 14.4 in the heat. I'm sure when the cool temps come around I'll get a little closer to a 14.1. also a little more tirepressure tunning I spun a bit each start even down at 20 psi so next time I'll go a little lower and see if i cant get my 60ft's down a little more.
If you are running stock tires lower pressure will not help, has to do with the side wall constrution on stock tires. Unlike drag radials as you lower the pressure in a radial it does not flatten out the same. Launch at 2800 or so put don't slam it down on the green light, roll it down as you luanch, not a complete hard luanch. you will give up a few split seconds but only to someone who has drag radials.
yeah I think once you get down to 20psi then not much is going to get better. the track was a little slick today and I guess I'm still getting used to the extra bottom end torqu from the 3" I'll get it zeroed in next time i go to the track.
That track sucks in the heat...are your tires covered in melted rubber now?...mine were when we went back in June and it was same temps...best i got was around a 14.5 I think
I was thinking about going to the Dunn/Benson track (even though it is a 1/8th) this Thursday night...it is alot cooler at night too...

what works for me is a burn out with 22PSI and I pulled out a 2.184 60ft. launch was easy out at 1500 and control wheel spin to null then rolling on the throttle to full open once your rolling. makes a big difference and is harder to do. Mind you our heat is like 80 to your 100 I guess.
