Cobalt SS/SC VS RSX-S VS SRT4 (VID)

Video
right click Save As (Internet Explorer)

snagged this video off clubrsx.com

Specs:

05 RSX Type S: AEM CAI and JR Race header

05 Cobalt SS/SC: Stock

05 SRT4: CAI

Good vid,,He said the guy in the cobalt had just got his car not long ago, and that there is a race not on the vid where the cobalt and rsx go from a dig and the cobalt gets him out the whole but he catches up and passes him.

This video has been posted numerous times around the net.

The rsx and srt-4 have alot of mods done to them, the ss is stock.

I've beaten rsx's stock for stock quite easily. I've raced and srt-4 stock and lost by about a car length and a half.

Alot of mods?...an intake and a crappy race header for the RSX and a CAI for the srt4...WOW they are so highly modded... I'd still like to see a stock for stock race between all of them.

Again I raced a stock rsx-s and beat him easily.

I raced a stock srt-4 and lost to him.

i cant belive that the cobalt lost like that. my ss pulls really really hard in 2nd at 40. i dont think that a rsx pulls as hard as a cobalt.

i still dont think the ss sc would get beat by a rsx. even at top end the ss makes horsepower all the way to redline. i think it might have a bad driver or a new driver.

From what he said on clubrsx..the ground was a bit wet which would be bad for the cobalt and the guy hadn't had the car long so he probably couldn't drive that well.

Fixed it for you

My stock turbo starts spooling up at about 1800 rpm and is fully spooled by 2500 rpm. IIRC stock the SRT-4 makes peak torque (240ish) from about 3200 rpm through about 4800 rpm. The problem we have from a dig is not blowing the tires off the car in 1st & 2nd. Although, it was a bit easier to launch my car when it was stock.

Stock SRT Dyno

I'll let you tell me how much Tq he is making at around 2500.

Lol when I first read that I was thinking this must be some AWD troll but it doesn't look like thats the case. Roll racing isn't that bad and in some cases is the only way you'll be able to get a run on the streets and it makes traction less of an issue. As for waiting at the tree and getting beat on the holeshot, what about bracket racing?
