Purchasing Stage kits online

Just wondering how everyone is finding the online vendors when buying the stage kits. I've been looking at some good prices for the stage 2 from crateenginedepot.com and Fred Beans Parts. If anyone has dealt with this vendors and has some input would be great , especially if you ordered from Canada? At $ 577.00 its very reasonable.

thanks guys

I have dealt with crate engine depot a couple of times and they are an awsome vendor. I highly recomend them if that means anything.

Kind of off-topic.. If you were to buy the kit from GMCratedepot or any other vendor, will it still be warrantied if you have a dealership install it?

Yes it will still be covered.

www.fredbeansparts.com is a great place to order it also.

that's good news to me!

can't you order it, and then when it comes place the pulley boys 2.8 in there and ask them to install it?

or would that be too obvious...?

That would definitely be too obvious. It's just 4 little bolts or what ever GM uses. Have them install the 3" so they feel all warm and squishy and then put the other one on after the fact. Then keep the 3" ring in your car so you always have it handy for the old switcharoo.

Hey there Newf, Fred Beans won't shipped to Canada!! I was already talking to them. You'll have to try to get crateenginedepot's to match the price if you want it. Call CrateEnginedepot's and talk to Mike Morgan. He will try to help you. There will be duty as well. I order stuff from US all the time and haven't had any really problems. Hope that helps.
