the best part about trips is just relaxing rolling the windows down and cruising. I'm leaving ot go home tommorrow after work and the only worry I have is wether or not i'll make it home in time for breakfast. then again my trip is only 8.5 hours.

Unfortunately I have lots of experience with GM's Roadside Assistance. As mad as I was that I needed it, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was and how quickly I was dealt with. Just make sure you have your VIN with you if you have to call them.

I have had to use the roadside twice, once with my cavalier and once with my cobalt. The roadside assistance is actually very good. They will come get the car and take it to the nearest dealer at no cost to you. You will need to VIN, so make sure you have it like KillerNutz said.

They don't pay for everything. Several years ago, I had a 1995 Camaro. One night while out delivering pizza, I got stuck in some mud. Roadside assistance was real easy and they had a tow truck there within 30 minutes. The tow out of the mud cost about $40. I think roadside assistance only pays if there is something wrong with the cars mechanical.

I'm sure they won't cover certain things. Mechanical problems, flat tires and gas are all covered i believe.

I had to use it when my car blew up a 1/4 mile from the dealership. If it's the tow company in particular you're wondering about...that varies. GM hires various different tow truck companies in a ton of different areas. As far as the actual customer service over the phone went: it was good. They gave me a time frame of when the tow company should be there and even called back to check that the tow company made it to me.

i had to call roadside back in July because I locked my keys in my car 60 miles from home. As I live in the far side of the moon part of New York and it was a friday evening (I was at a cruise in), they couldn't find any tow company to come and unlock my car. I ended up having to call my mom to bring my extra key up...

the lady on the phone was very helpful, though, regardless of the fact she couldn't find a person to open the car...
