My New Injen (Installed Right) haha

Well my i had a bit of trouble installing until i relized the longer tube wasnt included... so i had to go pick one up. but here are the results... i love it.

also i deff. noticed a difference is hp and also sound, much much deeper & louder exhaust. is that normal? my dc system was nice and deep mellow tone and its loud as hell. also in 3rd gear the in 2500-3000rpm range its a suber louad sound and i can feel in through the petal... anything i should worry about? over all awesome investment. 150$ on ebay in like new condition. jsut had to clean the filter.

also thanks aaron for trying to help me. i figured it out, jsut needed a longer tube thingy.

sri is nice, but with the amount of torque these cars have alread Cai seems to be more viable. We really dont need any more low end hp/tq. its already ridiculous

unless your allowing your car to run through 12 inches of water or allowing it to go swimming hydrolock won't ever happen

CAI wont be an option for me either when I get my SS/SC. Some of the streets in the town I live in flood almost everytime it rains. Is there any other options on an intake for the SC's?

cruising at 3k rpm is 50 revs per second. your telling me there is enough water falling from the sky or splashing the under body to hydrolock a car when the intake is above the ground and shielded by the car itself? I understand flooded streets can be bad but ... why the hell would you try to drive through a flooded road? in arizona there is a stupid motorist law that charges a person EVERYTHING from towing the car out of the water, complete rescue fees which would include air rescue or ground rescue if needed plus a default fee of 2k dollars. If you go through a body of water deep enough to get you in trouble you kinda get whats coming to you.

ps: no offense to anyone just giving some facts of truth, a cai is fine when you know how to drive smart and make edjucated decisions.

I'm with Oni-Mirage, it is very unlikely you will get hydro lock with this setup.

On another note, mkulrey13 you said the longer pipe wasn't included? Which pipe? The one in the pic? Shouldn't it be included?

Some people here have thrown a CEL or hydrolocked because they installed their CAI incorrectly or in a position where water leaked too much into the filter.
