just curious.. how hard is it to install aftermarket cams? has anyone had it done and whats the added perfomance from doing so. plus, want to know if the stage 6 from cobalt-addition is a good buy and if anyone has it and if they like it
Cam install i wouldnt say is easy, you might want to invest in retainers, vavlves, and springs also, if not installed correctly, it could really harm your car, and you will get a cel with them, that can be disabled with hp tuners, i would search more on it, and make sure you want to drop the amount of money on it to do it right.

i know GM has there own set of performance cams and from what they said all warrenties would still apply. ya wasnt sure if there would be more to it then just a cam installation. but still would like to see if someone has it done

the reason why they only offer the gm stage 2, header, and exaust is because they cover it under warranty
all other parts you get are special order parts and are NOT covered under warranty

Well anyway... I"ve been running they're stage 5 (2.55 60lbers meth kit, heat exchanger) with no problems now for about two months (only broke axles damnnit) they tuned my car and it runs great... stays with a safe afr (11.8-12.2) I get no KR so I don't see a problem... I'll be doing ported head, cams and valvetrain soon too... so I'll let you know

Instead of everyone telling you how easy they think it might be, go ahead and read about it here:

Check out 300hp ECOTEC build #1-4. Its actually building up of a LSJ and a complete how to, with part numbers of the products they use and what companies make them.

You are wrong...you might want to see what all parts are out there before saying unthought comments!
If you want cams you will probably have to buy some from www.gravantuning.com.
They have Comp Stage 3 cams, which is what was used in the build of the link I posted and the only GM cams you can buy for the ECOTEC are the blanks so you will have to get the bored to certain specs.
