annoying tires!
Ok Guys i hope u can help. I have a Set of Konig Unknowns in an 18" with the Stock tires on them. for some reason the Stock tire makes the rim look smaller and its really annoying me. Could you guys give me a good tire size and brand for for these rims so the rim actually sticks out more and is not overpowered by the tire. I would like some low profiles however, i dont want "rubber Bands". And i know the thinner tire will make the ride a lil lower not much but good enough until i change the springs. So all ur knowledge is very much appreciated
Go with a 40 profile tire. They're not rubbers band but they are not life preservers either.
Plus any rim that has a lip like those Konigs are going to look smaller than they are.
The face of the rim doesn't extend to the edge of the rim just the edge of the lip so they all look an inch smaller than they actually are.

Yea mine are the same way. I just got a set of 17" BSA 333 and they have a huge lip on them too and they look like 15s even with small tires on them. Only thing i dont like is that the wheel gap makes them even look smaller so im going to be getting new springs real soon
40 is the height of the tire. It is the middle number. An example of a 40 profile tire would be mine which are 215/40/17

1. Width
2. Thickness (profile)
3. Rim size
So if you get 215/40/18 tires, 215 is the width, 40 is the thickness or (profile of the tire), 18 would mean they fit an 18" rims. 40 is a perfect profile. It's not too thin and not too thick. 45 is even a good profile. 50 starts to get too thick for big rims and 35s are rubber bands that just leave your rims bent from potholes.
