well i took my car in for warranty work and they gave me a loaner which was cool. the car went in for a new supercharger and a new shifter. well the shifter is nice however the new supercharger sounds louder then before. the old one sounded like a rock tumbler at low speeds, now it sounds like a rock tumber at higher speeds comming from the housing......... my question is is the supercharger suppose to make any kind of noise besides its wine? i mean it sounds like a rock tumber with some nice smooth stones in it and its freakin loud when the car is at idle. what do you guys think? i cant do anything to it till tomorrow.

 

Everyone here is parinoid, superchargers like ours make noise.

And for a car to be a lemon it would have to need much more than a S/C or shifter.

My car has had this replaced so far:
- Clutch, Slave Cylinder and Flywheel
- Wheels
- Front bumper painted
- Left Drivehsaft Seal
- Boost Gauge

 

Bro everyone's supercharger sounds like that. That's what they sound like. You're OK!

 

Could be worse darksun is up to almost 19,000 in warranty work,
rebuild tranny, replaced casing, 4 clogged cats, one broken axle, 2 blown s/c gaskets, leaking IC pump, popped intercooler in manifold, coil spark jumping, and more... just off the top of my head.
