tranny, axles, clutch are a must if your gonna go that high.... best thing would be an intense or c/a stage 4 or 5 with the gm ported head and cams... I think that should get you there no problem

more than $5,000?? Are you kidding me?? You can get into 275ish with NO exhaust work, and only $400.

soo... putting aside clutch and axels, you could get 300 with about $1700.

100 pulley (2.5)
700 exhaust
250 intake
200 injectors (60#)
100 friend with HPT
300 Meth injection
50 misc. parts (idler and such)

That right there is about 300whp give or take a few.

add in axels and clutch for 2k at most. that is still around 3500, not over 5g

I dont think anyone has dynoed over 300 yet??????? Have they?? I agree with noremorse though it deff. should not cost more than $3500 but the problem is going to be finding a installer for it all.. I have the injen cai, pacesetter header, gm stage 2, magnaflow exhaust, and 2.8 pulley I have noticed huge gains through these mods. and have only spent about 1800. good luck with the 300 hp it is thier just need to go get it.

psshhtt... installer!

DIY for life!!!

for those of you not so mechnaically inclined, 3500 would cover maybe the installation of axels and clutch, but youd be on your own with everything else

You people kill me with buying all brand name stuff and having shops do the install. You can spend a grand for Intense Stage 5, port the head while you have the supercharger and stuff off and do a new exhaust for about 150. Chances are that's going to give you 300hp with that alone, granted yes supporting mods such as a clutch or stiffer mounts would be advisable. You can make your own torque brace for 1/2 the cost of an Ingalls and if you aren't launching the car don't worry about the axles on stock tires you probably can't get enough traction anyway.

Nobody has reached that amount of power yet. The guy asked us if it was possible. Its just not at the moment. The highest dyno ive seen out of stage 5 is 275whp with supporting mods.

and if you did how many mods did they have in it????

and you are just saying the performance upgrades???? what about the supporting upgrades?????

what if u dont have a friend with hptuners???

you have to grind down to get a 2.5 pulley

wow i mean seriously if you dont have evidence to back your **** up stfu

i wouldnt be getting pissy with you if you didnt get that way with me

I need a clean up on aisle 9 because I just pissed myself when the quote came in!

The highest I've seen was the 297whp redline video that smokes a 300zx TT by the way. There was definately over $3000 in mods there. The friend with the $100 HPT hookup is a freebee considering most of us would have to pay $500 for it. And without clutch/axles/etc you aren't going anywhere with your said 300whp!

Have you installed a clutch? They aren't that bad.

Not bad, but extremely time consuming and meticulous work. Not for the average DIY person.
